About Franglais, moi?
Franglais, moi? is a new company founded by Laurent and Rachel Lucas to share their language skills with the local community. They are themselves a bi-lingual bi-national Franco-English family living in Poole, Dorset.

About Us
Laurent and Rachel met in England in the early nineties when he came to work as a 
commissioning engineer for a French international company. He originally came for 2 months and stayed for more than 2 years, becoming very accustomed to the english way of life and fully fluent in English.
As they became involved and Laurent’s contract in England was approaching its natural end, Rachel decided to qualify as a TEFL teacher. 
After moving to France, she worked in different organisations ranging from English Institute to Chambre du Commerce, teaching english to individuals as well as big organisations. She herself became fully fluent in French.
They have now been back in the UK for more than 10 years, settling in Poole, Dorset. 
Laurent’s worked has put him in constant contact with a portfolio of more than 100 customers and suppliers from the electronics industry from all over the UK as well as all over the world, constantly communicating in English and French through phone conversations, emails, and devising and translating technical documents, training schedules and so on. Through these varied environments he had to deal with a large number of variations of the English language. He decided to share his skills and knowledge of the French language by offering a range of services from teaching to translations.
Rachel had put her teaching career on hold since arriving back in the UK mainly to raise their young family but is now ready to share her knowledge and experiences once more.
In 2012 they decided to launch their own company Franglais, moi? to put in practice their various language skills and offer a range of services to a increasingly inter-connected world.

Laurent is also a keen Amateur Dramatics enthusiast who has performed in many productions in France and England over the years. Check Le théatre for more details.
